What could a werewolf do on a Wednesday night without the prospect of heading into work the next day? Only no one knows. The Ulfric was having a bad day and sitting at Lunatic Cafe didn't seem to help ease his problems. There was only so much the werewolf king could do. His lovely little daughter was off at a friend's house to spend the week with, going to Disney World or whatever the theme park was down in California. Whatever it was, he hoped his daughter had fun and wouldn't cause her friend's parents too much trouble. He didn't want to get an alarming phone call in the middle of the night saying his little girl was in the hospital.
Yet he seemed quite happy to let her go on this trip. Though it didn't explain why he was so grumpy and moody. Alan hadn't seen nor heard of Amethyst in over a few months. Did she die off the face of the planet or was she just ignoring the child they shared together? After all, she hadn't even told him he was a dad until he found out years after the child was born and realized she wasn't even taking care of the child. What kind of parent leaves their child with their sibling to take care of while the parent goes off on some adventure? Alan couldn't wrap his mind around it as he looked around the cafe at all the customers.
There were very few humans in the cafe, but none of them knew it was the Shapeshifter hang out though. Despite all the tension that went out around the different species, this place was neutral ground. No one could cause any harm here and it was the werewolves' meeting place, if there ever happened to be a meeting taking place. So far he hadn't been challenged to anything, so he was perfectly safe as the Ulfric. He ruled the clan with an iron claw. Usually Alan was pretty easy going, but these past few weeks left him on edge and he was angrier than normal. Much of the wolves left him alone unless they needed him, but other than that, the only one who had ever gone up against him and survive was his last wife, Amethyst. Though it was probably one of the reasons why he married the woman years ago. She had that edge on her that he was interested and intrigued in. Too bad she left him, faked her death and moved out of Canada into the United States under a different name.
If only he had some kind of challenge, would he be satisfied with what was going on, but so far, nothing was coming his way. What did he have to do around here to get someone to challenge him to something, anything. Alan was dying for a fight. Beating up the weaklings of his clan was never any fun and he cared about them too much to go up against them in a fight. If only there was a big bad wolf wanting into the clan or some crazy vampire. Alan was dying for something interesting to hit town.
