Now, not doing much, but living with the Master of the City, her skills were going to waste. At least they were now, now that she couldn't see a damn thing to use those skills. The bench sat huddled among the bushes and pathways of Place D'Armes. Jackson Square park.
Rowan had seen it a few times before her sight was lost to her. She didn't see anything to it, it was just a park that was apparently a replica of one in Paris. She didn't understand a thing about it, but she had so many years to figure it out, didn't she? If she could ever see again. Sitting on the bench made her almost vulnerable to anyone who could sneak up upon her. They could scare her, but she would have heard them before they even got close enough to her. She just wouldn't see what direction they came at her though.
Yet who would harm a woman who was sitting on a bench this close to nine in the evening? There were people about, but none that seemed to be paying attention to those around them, Rowan ignored most of the people, her daughter sitting next to her on the bench playing with her game device. An Nintendo 3DS or whatever it was that her daughter wanted. Rowan wasn't much into video games, but she had played them once, but now it was no use to her. She was lost to such an art and stuck with listening to things and feeling bumps to read things. It was pathetic. There had to be some kind of cure to allow her to see again. She just didn't know who to talk to about it. [/style] |

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.

Isi was six weeks pregnant. She was six weeks pregnant and that meant one month and two weeks. One month and two weeks ago she had been raped by a powerful demon. All of this baby nonsense was confusing to her. She had been in a bookstore and casually wandered through the baby book section for parents and the aisles took up a good part of the store. Isi didn’t even bother buying any of the books. Isi didn’t even bother reading any of the books. Simply put, she wasn’t at all interested in her child except to get some sort of revenge against Luke.
Being six weeks pregnant Isi wasn’t showing, yet. She still had her precious flat stomach that she worked furiously to keep, exercising like a maniac. It helped that her job was more ‘gun on’ instead of ‘desk jobby’. She needed to figure out what to do. She figured she could keep working until she started to show. And then she would need to take some serious time off. Then fly out of the country to give birth to the damn thing so it wouldn’t be an American citizen. She would have the baby be a damn citizen of Africa or Asia or someplace stupid.
Isi was dressed in a black trench coat. The wind was all over her but she didn’t feel the cold. Underneath the trench coat was a cheap Gothic shirt and a pair of black jeans. Her face was all made up with powder and her eye shadow was done up in pink and purple in the shapes of hearts. Her fiery red hair was dyed in a black color that would come out in five washes. She wore perfume de cologne of Estee Lauder, Sensuous Noir scent. There were fake metal piercings on her face. Including several metal pieces that appeared to be running through her nose, forehead, mouth and ears. She looked someone new. It was all a disguise because if she had to kill the vampire, she didn’t want people to see her do it. Isi could always find the vampire, but she always found her in public.
Isi found the vampire and her child easily enough. “Rowan.” Isi said as she slid in the seat between Rowan and her child. She slid a gun out of the holster, brushed back the vampire’s blonde hair and slid the gun behind the back of her neck – letting the hair cover it so perhaps they looked like two very odd lesbian lovers with an adopted child. Isi cocked the gun. She didn’t want to kill Rowan. In fact, she was pretty sure that she couldn’t kill Rowan – if what Soren said was true that if he were to die she would die as well. But perhaps Rowan didn’t know that Isi couldn’t kill her.
“Tell me everything you know about human servants. And don’t lie to me.” Though what made Isi think that this new vampire would know anything, she did not know. Isi glanced at the child. She had forgotten what her name was, but she recalled that she had been dressed like an angel or something at the ball. Isi had Googled human servants but all she found were references to Egypt. “You may survive a bullet but I doubt the kid can.”

She was feeling rather different tonight, Rowan could only wonder what was on the hunter's mind, but she didn't ask questions when she felt the gun touch the back of her neck. Jezebel didn't seem to notice the gun, but she did scoot to the edge of the bench to give the woman a bit more room to sit.
"Tell me everything you know about human servants. And don't lie to me." Rowan shrugged at the thought of lying to the woman. Would she have anything to lie about? "You may survive a bullet but I doubt the kid can." That made Rowan laugh. She gave one of those laughs that everyone laughed with when something hilarious happened, but it was a bit longer than usual.
"If you kill her, you won't just be dealing with me, you'll have to deal with him. And I guarantee he won't show any mercy. And you won't have a fighting chance against the Ulfric of the Werewolf pack, Isi, dear." Rowan turned her head as if she was looking at Isi even if the pale blue eyes couldn't see anything out of them. She sat there for a while, her hands cupped together in her lap as she stared out to nowhere thinking of how to tell the idiot hunter about human servants.
"You really don't know what they are do you? Didn't Soren say anything to you about them when he gave you the first two marks? You have been feeling hungrier than usual right?" Rowan asked curious, because she knew the woman was pregnant just by Soren telling her, but the eating habits wouldn't have made her guess that Isi was pregnant if she hadn't been told of the news by Soren in the first place.
"Human servants are bound to a vampire for as long as the vampire is alive. If the master dies, so does the servant. Its the same if the servant dies, but the vampire may survive if its strong enough. But not always. There are four marks to be given. Soren has already given you two of them. The first allows you to have a great deal of powers that a normal human wouldn't. You are also immune to a vampire's mind games as you would call it.
Are you following me? You may think I'm some stupid blond, but I did read when I was stuck inside for the night. The second mark allows the vampire to draw power from the human servant when it needs it. It may also experience food and drink that you consume. The third mark is the vampire drinking the human's blood, more powers are given. With the fourth and final mark, the human has to drink the vampire's blood to complete the process giving them immortality, and your appearance doesn't change any further. Are you happy now?" Rowan snapped as she pulled the gun away from the back of her neck and threw it behind them in the grass.
As much as she liked the protection a gun provided, it was not necessary to carry one everywhere. Rowan wasn't that skilled to fight blindly, but she still had her strength and the woman did like to bring death around her. Even as a child, Amethyst liked to kill the small little animals her parents bought her thinking it would give her some kind of responsibility to take care of herself. It did much more than that, but Amethyst was very much a normal child that went through too many small animals.
"Hunter, you're scared of him, aren't you? You're afraid of Soren? Why would you be afraid of the Second? You can't exactly go about killing the hierarchy in New Orleans now. Soren can certainly give you plenty of pain to punish you. Though I'm sure I can find ways to torment you though you aren't as strong as him or myself. So don't bother trying. I'd kill you if I could. But killing you would easily mean an angry and weakened Soren." [/style] |

The night was going horribly. The child inside of her and the vampire that was trying to control or destroy her was making her absolutely famished. She felt that she could eat every regular in the steak and rib house under the table. But Isi wouldn't eat, and when she did she wouldn't eat anything that Soren could possibly enjoy. That meant lots of cheap wine and alcohol and food that was completely American, as most foreigners hated American food. 'Let him taste pig grease' was her motto.
"I think I'll keep this until you leave. If I wanted to Isi. I would have killed you already. So why would I want to draw attention to myself with my daughter sitting on the bench? I don't know. So you can have it when you leave."
It took all of Isi's waining patience to remain calm and not use the word 'vampire' but 'Rowan'. "Give me my gun, Rowan!" Isi wasn't impressed with the way a blind vampire picked herself up off the bench and grabbed her own gun off her own holster. Apparently someone was a very good actor. "And does Soren know you're not really blind?" It seemed for some reason to Isi that Rowan wanted to look and appear helpless. Somehow the vampire had a knack for surviving.
"Don't make me ask for my gun again." Isi of course had a second gun. She was still a hunter if not the top predator anymore. Yet she did not bother to draw it. Because she knew - they both knew hopefully - that Rowan couldn't kill Isi. The way Isi knew that she couldn't kill Rowan (yet). Isi's death would make Soren weak. Though if there ever was a time to kill Isi this would be the time as she had not yet chosen someone who would be loyal. If Isi died now there would be no one to stake Soren at his weaker self for no one would know.

Rowan shrugged. Alan wasn't her problem to deal with. It was Isi's if she harmed Jezebel. But it really wasn't something she needed worry about when she woke up each and every night to see if Jezebel was close to her or not. So could definitely feel Isi staring her down at the thought of thinking Rowan would go after the woman for harming the child.
"I'm listening to you, aren't I?" Rowan could have been fooled. Sometimes she wondered if people actually cared about what she talked about, but it didn't really matter. After all Isi did come to her for information which seemed weird in its own sense. So she couldn't really complain, but if Isi made a move, Rowan had ever right to defend it if something happened. Considering Rowan wasn't one asking for trouble. Isi was. And her priority was to keep Jezebel safe before herself and if Isi was going to risk that then Rowan had ever right to harm Isi against Soren's wishes.
"Happy? Hell no I'm not happy! I'd be happy if I didn't have any fucking marks on me. I'd be happy if I knew vampires didn't exist. I'd be happy if - - my gun!" Rowan smiled that Isi actually cared about her gun as she threw away from them. "I would leave it if I were you. Someone might get hurt and it won't be anyone in my party, dear." Rowan was careful with her words, but she meant every word she said. If anyone was going to get hurt here it was going to be Isi and the child she carried.
"I'm most certainly NOT scared of Soren. You certainly misunderstood something about me now. Everything's changed. And I am not. Afraid. To die. In fact, I would greatly enjoy it." Rowan laughed a bit. Maybe it was just her, but she found it funny that the woman wasn't afraid of death. Everyone seemed to be afraid to die wondering what they would miss if they died prematurely. It wasn't something that many people spoke of, but Rowan could definitely tell when people were missing things.
"Why haven't I heard of human servants before? And not the silly sort of humans that serve vampires with the far fetched hopes of becoming one themselves. Why haven't I heard of the ones that... humans gain immortality and all this other... things before." Rowan giggled. If someone who knew Rowan long enough saw her giggling, then something was wrong with her. She never giggled. She laughed, and this was something that seemed quite odd to her. To think that the human thought humans who served vampires before coming them were human servants. She thought that was funny. Vampire apprentices. It seemed silly to call them humans servants if they had a different meaning to the actual meaning of it. Rowan was interested in things like that, but she herself wouldn't have been one of those vampire apprentices. Maybe it was something she enjoyed about not having to face what humans had to expect before coming vampires.
Rowan had heard the human get off the bench and head for the grass. She was up in seconds and behind Isi before she could even use the gun. She had used her sense of smell to find where the gun was located and took it from Isi's holster before anything else happened. "I think I'll keep this until you leave. If I wanted to Isi. I would have killed you already. So why would I want to draw attention to myself with my daughter sitting on the bench? I don't know. So you can have it when you leave."
Someone could say that Rowan didn't trust Isi. The way the human was, and everything about her. Rowan didn't trust a thing that the woman did and she had every reason to. Jezebel was her pride and joy and seeing the child harmed meant Rowan would kill to protect the child. She wouldn't turn the child, but she would certainly kill for the child. If it meant dropping everything to do it. |

She laughed at the helpless Isi begging for her gun back. Rowan wasn't going to give the gun back unless she was going to leave, but somehow she realized Isi was probably just gonna shoot her. Maybe it would have best to give the gun to Soren and have him return it to Isi. After all he was Isi's master now. "Give me my gun, Rowan! And does Soren know you're not really blind?"
"No. What I should do is give the gun to Soren and have him return it to you when you go and tell him what you now know of human servants. Isi, vampires have a way of getting around. My sight is gone, yes, but not the other senses that keep me alive. If you held up a few fingers I would have assumed you held up all five, not one or two or none at all. I can't see your hideously colored red hair or the crummy makeup you wear with the odd change of clothes that so many vampire hunters wear." Rowan snarled at Isi. She wasn't exactly in the mood, but she was glad Jezebel was engrossed in her game to not realize her mother was in a terrible mood, but the child didn't need to see it. She probably already knew and knew to stay away until the mood died down to ask for anything of the sorts.
"Don't make me ask for my gun again." Rowan turned on her heel, the black converses squeaking on the green grass as she made her way to the sidewalk. She held her hand out to Jezebel and hoped the child had enough multitask knowledge to grab her hand and play her game at the same time. "You know, Isi. I think that is a great idea. I'll give your gun to Soren. And you can get it back from your dear Master. After all he's in charge of you now. And he would certainly punish you if you tried to kill me or my child. Xavier may even try and kill you when he returns. But don't cross my path, Isi. I can easily kill the fetus that grows within you. Motherhood is such a wonderful thing. Once that child is gone and dead. You'll understand the pain I had to take leaving Jezebel with her Uncle for the safety of never being seen or known by her father."
Rowan was crossing a line, but at this point she wasn't scared of Isi. It was just a matter of time before the human understood what Rowan went through to make sure her child was safe and secure within her grasp. The two started to walk, Rowan navigating the child to walk in front of her out of the way of Isi if the woman had another gun. She wasn't going to allow Isi to harm Jezebel in any shape or form. Rowan could last the consequences, Isi couldn't. So why bother even trying to save herself? Sitting in a coffin for a month or so didn't seem like much of a punishment considering she had done it for two weeks, but look where that got her and Xavier... Separated and very much without each other to keep control over the other. [/style] |

“I have NO MASTER,” Isi screamed. She was angry that Rowan thought she wanted this child. She was angry that she was considered a vampire servant when she had dedicated all her life to destroying them. She was angry that Rowan hadn’t been raped or punished by Luke. She was angry that she had. She was angry that Rowan got to live a simple life, trying to live like a normal human raising a daughter like a normal human would.
Isi pulled out her backup gun. She knew when Rowan urged her daughter in front of her that she meant to protect her like a shield should Isi shoot Rowan in the back. However, there were more than one points of attack. Isi shot carelessly all shots aimed at the young human daughter. Most hunters had such qualms about children. Isi had no such qualms. If a few had to die to get what she wanted or just to make a point well… they sell special smaller coffins online.
“And my hair color’s not hideous.” Isi muttered under her breath. She very much liked her bright red color and she liked the way it looked with the New Orleans weather. It was much nicer then the black color she had now, which she was only using to keep under the radar. “Not as hideous as your face.” She muttered under her breath. It was sort of funny shooting with one gun to get back another.
She ran up to Rowan to try and get her gun back. She would not wait for Soren to give her her expensive gun. Thankfully it wasn’t her Marshal’s gun that was licensed in her name. It was a gun not licensed in anyone’s name nor with a serial number on it.

Rowan caught the words but was trying to get her daughter out of the park before much of anything happened. Isi would soon learn that dealing with someone of the Master's bloodline seemed like a very poor choice to make. Rowan had heard a gunshot go off and had managed to take the impact of all but one, that managed to go through Rowan and her daughter in the lower abdomen.
Collapsing to the sidewalk with her daughter in her arms, she couldn't stand the sight of her daughter's blood spilling into her hands as she tried to stop the bleeding. The child was screaming and crying, Rowan trying to calm the child to make the pain go away, but tears fell down Rowan's face as she watched her child in pain. The gun she taken from Isi was in her coat pocket. Whether she used it or not would matter in a few seconds. The life and death of a child was nothing something Rowan wanted to be apart of.
She took the gun out taking the safety off of it and just fired at Isi, hoping to get her somewhere in the kneecaps or legs. Hoping to disable the hunter from walking again. Rowan wanted the closure that she wasn't the only one disabled around her. She heard people screaming when the gunshots went off, but no one came to their rescue to save a small child that had been in the cross fire of an idiotic vampire hunter who was crazy on hormones.
"Soren! Please, Soren... I can't let her die..." Rowan was screaming for the elder vampire, because she knew he was somewhere in the area after being told he would watch the hunter's movements to understand the human a bit more. He had even gone as far as to make sure he was close by in case an incident like this happened he was there to help, but Rowan felt she called for help to late and there wasn't much more for her as she doubled over in pain. She would survive the wounds given by the silver, but she couldn't see how bad the wound was to see if her daughter would survive the night. How would she tell Alan about this, he would certainly kill her if not go after the hunter for doing such a thing to an innocent child. [/style] |

Soren had made sure to stay close to his human servant as much as possible, but at a distant so she wouldn't see him anywhere close to her. The fact that she had gone to see the vampire Rowan was intriguing because as of late Rowan had been one to break out of her shell as some would say these days about someone being a completely different person though Rowan could have been acting weirdly because her child was presence.
He had been sitting down on the other side of the park that Isi had gone to, listening to her conversation with Rowan. He hadn't known the younger vampire would have been here, but judging from the conversation between the two it was about him and Isi's curiousity about human servants. Would he lie to her? Probably, he was a vampire who forced himself upon her to give her the first two marks.
"Soren! Please, Soren... I can't let her die..." he had heard gunshots, but didn't think it would was of any importance to humans being shot at. But the cry wasn't from his human servant, but from the younger vampire. Something was wrong. He would have felt the pain of his human servant, but he did in a way because more gunshots went off and his human servant had been wounded. Heading over to where his human servant and the younger vampire occupied the space he could see for the desperate cry for help. The child would die if medical help wasn't brought to her quickly. The smell of blood was sweet on his nostrils, but having feed earlier that night he could restrain himself. He could see how much Rowan had been trying to avoid getting to close to the wound. She was looking a little deathly pale tonight.
Looking to his human servant he could see that she was still standing a bit, but not quite sure of the damage the woman had taken. Heading over to the pair on the pathway he had taken the child under his arms and lifted her with ease off of her mother's lap. Things were not going to go to plan if Isi continued to fire rounds at the group. "Isi. Shooting a child? Was it necessary? Her life is on the line because of your actions. I hope you are ready to face the consequences that come with harming a werewolf and a vampire couple's child." He was not taking any mercy on his human servant. He understood why Rowan had fired back. Self defense and maybe because she felt she needed to let loose some of the anger that had been built up over the years. He wasn't sure.
Turning to the young vampire he stared at her for a while, watching her figure squirm under the pain of silver bullets. "Your child will be at the University Hospital. I'll make sure she gets the best care, but you are not to do any more harm to my human servant, Rowan. Do you understand me?" Soren's voice was stern as he spoke. He did not want anymore harm done tonight then what was already done. Anymore and the police and media would be all over it by morning. He had drew out his power of shadows to avoid anyone seeing the scene that had befallen the two women fighting over a mere item. He was angry with the human servant causing a fight over a small gun that could have been given back without any harm done. Some actions would be repaid later.

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.

It was odd seeing a vampire try and protect their child. If Isi had any doubts whether Rowan had been the ‘birth mother’ then they were confirmed as true. Rowan raced off to shield her miniature self. For a few moments Isi was displeased that Rowan had taken all of the bullets and none had hit her precious living child and her precious heartbeat until she realized that Rowan had taken all of her bullets. Isi could live with that.
As the adult vampire collapsed on the paved sidewalk there was a mixture of blood pooling around the ground and on clothes. Vampire blood was as deadly as HIV, though Isi would rather take the HIV. As the hunter neared she heard the child scream and cry. It was obvious that she had gotten hit by at least one of the bullets. It wasn’t a satisfactory job nor a job done right since the child hadn’t the dead stare in her eyes but one of pain and life.
Isi was too near the vampire when the vampire decided to turn Isi’s own gun on Isi. The safety was off before Isi could stop running straight for the pair. Bullet after bullet flew into the air intending to take out Isi. Not in a way to scare her into submission but full on rage intended to take her out of this world. Isi had to take a quick dive to the ground momentarily winding her before she rolled. She felt a piercing stab of pain as she was wounded somewhere.
The bullets stopped and Isi was glad that the vampire hadn’t accosted her for the spare cartridge. Then Soren came like a demon being summoned as Rowan called for him. There were people screaming and those tattle tailing babies would be dialing 911 crying their little asses off to the operator. Isi cringed at the pain but she had felt worse and moved on. She was running on pure energy. Her upper leg had been hit by the bullet. After checking that Rowan wasn’t paying any attention to her anymore she undid the belt from her expensive leather jacket which now had a bullet hole and tied the belt tightly around her wound. The bullet wasn’t a clean enter and exit and she knew that it was still in her body the way a fake psychic knows that teenagers only want to hear about a new attractive boyfriends and a great love life.
Soren took the human child from Rowan’s arms. It was a shame that Isi couldn’t finish the child off. To once and all cause Rowan the pain that she so rightly deserved. Because though Luke had tormented Rowan with more physical pain and hadn’t hurt Isi in that way, he had done something so unforgivable that Isi would rather the pain and torment then the rape and pregnancy. Isi was extremely tempted to continue shooting but she didn’t know if there might be witnesses lurking hidden somewhere. She was quite sure no one had seen her fire off the shots. Rowan was blind and the child’s back were the other way. But people might have seen Rowan shoot at Isi.
"Isi. Shooting a child? Was it necessary? Her life is on the line because of your actions. I hope you are ready to face the consequences that come with harming a werewolf and a vampire couple's child."
“The bitch shouldn’t have stolen my gun.” Isi replied coolly incredibly un phased by what had just gone on. She was also un phased about any consequences about nearly killing a werewolf child. If anything it would help Isi found out who the Ulfric of the werewolves was. After a full moon all the weaker were’s were sprawled out nude in the forest. Isi and other bounty hunters went chopping off their sleeping heads and selling them for a cool thirty thousand dollars, cash. Isi usually found at least one or two sleeping were’s earning a lot of cash after a full moon. But she had never found the cache of werewolves since they were so hidden. But it wasn’t for lack of trying. In fact, if Isi could put a face on him she could put a tail on him and take out the mother lode with some of her more psychotic friends who hell would freeze over before they earned a badge in law enforcement. They were the type of people that carved the eyes out while the were was still alive before killing it just to see what would happen.
"Your child will be at the University Hospital. I'll make sure she gets the best care, but you are not to do any more harm to my human servant, Rowan. Do you understand me?"
Isi picked up her gun and holstered it. It would be bad for her if it was found by the police. It was slightly a bad situation that Isi couldn’t hear police sirens. Were they coming without sirens? That would make things worse. Isi needed to get out of the area, and fast. It was sort of slightly pleasing in a way that Soren was ordering Rowan not to touch her. It was then that Isi noticed that shadows were cloaking them. If she left would she suddenly find herself appearing out of nowhere to police, guns drawn with Isi, no badge in sight?!
