red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall It began eight hours ago when the first zombie popped out of their grave. No one had noticed it then. No one had even noticed the second zombie an hour later. Nor had anyone noticed a third. But by the time there were five zombies running around out of their graves five hours later that was when the priest performing a ceremony noticed and began to cross himself muttering in Latin. The police had called the local animators but they all denied raising any zombies and couldn’t aid the police in putting them down. Therefore, Isi got the call as she was full time resident legal licensed vampire executioner.
Isi took some time getting to the scene. She could have easily put those zombies down with her necromancy however she didn’t want anyone to know what she could do. Rowan – vampire, had figured it out and blabbed to just about everyone on Isi’s ‘To Kill List’. Her version of a To Do List. On it were Rowan (blind vampire), Luke (demon bastard), Soren (second to the master), and Rowan’s husband Alan (werewolf and cop). Killing Alan would be hard. He was a member of the police. But he was also a werewolf which made him fair game. But he would need to be exposed as a wolf first otherwise it would be an all-out manhunt for his killer or killers.
Isi had a shot gun equipped with regular cheap bullets to save money. Zombies didn’t require expensive silver. Another thing Isi had on her weapon tote was a flamethrower. While driving Isi received a new text message that said another zombie had risen from the graveyard. It would be hard work. She would need to try to find the cause of this mysterious thing. Maybe some animator had put on a zombie autoer? If Isi found a bunch of dead chickens then she would find out how and why the zombies were being raised like clockwork.
She turned on the radio as she drove from her estate to the cemetery, all while studying a photograph of Alan she had printed off of the police’s website. She had first found him by getting surveillance footage of the hospital Rowan’s child had been taken to after her ‘accident’ which was talk for Isi gunning her down. It was only natural that the child’s parents would visit. At first Isi had thought that the police officer talking to the child was trying to find out what was going on. But then Isi realized that he was the father! He had some nerve – being a werewolf and being a police officer! It was easy to find out that on the days of the full moon he took off from work. It was all the proof Isi needed.
“Is everyone fucking stupid around here?” Isi asked herself. How could someone taking days off around the full moon not be a were-monster? How could someone not notice someone taking so many days off around the full moon? “My God!” This was a huge embarrassment for the police department. The Marshal’s at least took care of their own – Like how Isi had to take down her own best friend and ex-partner when she became one of them. It was a completely internal job with a whole lot of Classified stamps.
As Isi got to the cemetery she noticed a whole lot of areas were being sectioned off and tourists and natives were trying to see what was going on. There were even some natives going as far as to try and climb the cemetery iron gates before being yanked down by police rookies and shoved firmly back towards the other civilians. Isi rolled down her window and flashed her Marshal’s badge. News teams realized that a car was going in instead of passing by and instantly try and ram it with cameras and microphones. Isi of course had rolled up her window and gunned her breaks, heading down the cemetery road – desperately hoping that her license plate hadn’t been caught on camera – she had covered it with mud earlier for just such a thing.
Isi pulled over near the other police cars. This part of the cemetery was more secluded and private. She was dressed wearing an old black and white striped shirt that was out of style. Her jeans had been run through the washer one too many times. Isi had on black gloves and she was wearing old black boots that were more for snow weather up north then down south. Last but not least she tucked her hair into a panda cap. The running theme of her clothing was that she didn’t care to keep it. Zombies were a messy business. Isi didn’t want to smell like death so she wouldn’t even bring these clothes into her car. She would change and dump the clothes into the cemetery trash bin on the way out.
Isi clipped her badge to her jeans so they would be exposed. It wasn’t like she wanted to get shot by some stupid human cop. “Don’t even fuck about my outfit,” Isi warned the first cop as they approached her as she popped open her trunk. “Zombies are smelly business. These are clothes I won’t mind throwing in the bin.” It was good to be a Marshal and not a cop. She could wear what she wanted and do what she wanted as long as her work got done in an orderly and timely manner.
Isi swung her flamethrower on her back and then her gun tote bag on her shoulder. Her side holster and gun and ankle holster and gun were exposed since she wasn’t wearing a jacket. She slammed her car trunk down and then locked it, popping the keys in the side tote bag. “Tell me the situation.” She ordered as she followed the cops to the other cops, restraining the two zombies with nets.
“Zombies have just started appearing out of the ground once an hour for the last ten or eleven hours. We have eleven zombies here. They’re kind of disorderly, walking around in a big circle.” The officer spoke as the zombies sensed Isi and began to march towards her.
Isi saw this and wondered what was going on. She opened her tote bag up and took out her legal shotgun and a box of shells. She zipped up the tote bag and then quickly put two shells in the chambers. The zombies were charging towards her despite the fact that they were almost being contained in the net moments ago. “Guess they know I’m here to kill them.” She said. She wasn’t afraid of zombies. She wasn’t afraid of the dead nor of their rotten melting flesh filled with bugs and earth. Hell, she had raised them that way on purpose to scare a pesky vampire once.
“Okay, I’m here. You boys can go on home now. M’kay?” Isi said slightly patronizing. “Things are about to get messy. Real messy.” The zombies were almost upon Isi now, the cop darted away from Isi and drew his little pea shooter of a gun that could kill an armed human, annoy a full grown werewolf and nick an enraged vampire. But it would only hurt the zombie on the scale. Meaning it would only give the zombie a few more ounces of what it weight.
Isi fired once on the zombies head. Then she fired again on the other zombies head. Both heads exploded, guts and brain and matter going every which way (but not on Isi). The zombies were still coming. Isi loaded the gun once more with her gloved hands and then shot each zombie in their kneecap. One leg from each zombie flew off. The officer with his peashooter of a weapon ran a bit over and puked on some grave. Both zombies and both zombies detached legs came after Isi still.
“Hmm.” Isi muttered as she picked up her bag and gun and moved a few feet over to the right. The zombies turned their course and followed. Isi turned the knob on her flamethrower to a low setting before turning in a circle away from her equipment before setting the zombies on fire. They moaned and groaned but still came for her all while on fire. Ten minutes later the zombies were gone and Isi had also lost the cops who were puking on visitor sidewalks, not wanting to dirty the graves.
Isi picked up her bag and then journeyed into the unknown parts of the cemetery for the rest of the zombies. If there were eleven then there were nine more to go until another hour passed and there would be ten. “Nine little zombies on the wall,” Isi hummed. The cemetery was extremely vast. There were mausoleums and crypts and plots just scattered about in the old sections, the newer ones were more organized. But Isi wouldn’t be shocked if in the older sections there was more than one body in the hole.
All of a sudden Isi heard a scream. She raced off in that direction…

The scream had come from dear Eliza who with Jamie's help had managed to sneak into the cemetery to see her grandfathers grave. Jamie could of given a ratass as to the whole situation as to what was going on, wouldn't have even come if it hadn't be for the younger she wolf. Never the less they were there, in an older more richer part of the cemetery. The zombies had left them alone until a few moments ago. Eliza had been close by to one just simply wandering around, when suddenly it had attacked. If it wasn't for the fact Eliza was a wolf it would of had her. Though it was the scream the triggered Jamie, her eyes becoming a dark blue shade.
The dagger that was stashed at her back was out with in less then a second, and into the flesh of the zombies neck and all the way through. Jamie however was careful, she only used a speed and strength a human female her size was capable of. But the zombie didn't stop when the head was taken off, however its target had changed to her instead. Skipping backed a few paces, she waited for it to. Come to her, Jamie had dealt with the undead once or twice before. Yet because she knew she was better in hand to hand combat, and didn't generally carry a gun or flamethrower she had figured out another way to stop them. De- boning them.
So quick as she could be when the zombie got with in range her, Jamie just lowered her body, brought the knife from the zombies ankle and up to the top of its thigh. Rolling to the side after, before launching for the exact leg that she had justed sliced open. The force caused the knee to shatter and both bones pop out of the flesh. Getting up quickly she yelled at Eliza to climb a tree, before setting to work on the other leg. The zombie body tried to get at her but unfortunately simply wasn't quick enough. However Jame was no wondering why the zombie suddenly attacked. It wasn't like them to attack without command, so where had the command command come from?

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Isi was running in the direction of the scream. Or at least trying to run. The flamethrower weighted in at anywhere from eighty to a hundred and twenty pounds. Despite its vast weight it was not something Isi would ever leave behind on such a mission as this. Other foolish beat cops would have dumped the flamethrower off their back and run with all their might to the trouble but not Isi. “Oh fuck it!” she muttered to herself as she kept at a quickened walk which took a bit of strength. If there were nine zombies to kill (though another would rise in fifty minutes or so) then Isi couldn’t waste all her energy on one simple zombie.
She found herself in the less regulated part of the cemetery. Some tombstones were chipped, some looked like they had been donated by church’s and good causes, others looked like they cost a decent amount of money, some were small plaques and others were covered by weeds and vines and hastily growing bushes that needed a proper trim. Isi neared but was still far away, though she was close enough to realize that both of the women were women. “It figures.” She muttered hoping that neither female would ‘faint’ on her. At the very least she hoped they puked on someone’s grandmother or grandfather then her.
Isi could remember the first time she had seen her first zombie. She was more amazed then disgusted. At the time to her, nothing was more disgusting then her vampire step-father. She would have happily traded him for a zombie step-father. But Isi could also remember the time her twin sister had seen her first zombie. Isi’s twin had puked her guts out, cried, peed her pants and wept so solemnly you thought she was being kidnapped and murdered by both Jack the Ripper and Hannibal Lector at the same time! Isi’s sister had had such horrible nightmares and such horrible screams that Isi learned how to tune out, eventually.
It amazed Isi that people wouldn’t just run away from the zombies. You could even crawl faster than them if you were determined! True, some zombies were fast, but the majority of zombies were slow – unless a raised zombie had been murdered and you were the murderer! Isi decided to try and not laugh because this might make a funny and even charmingly hilarious situation go from okay to worse. Getting out of the office and being paid overtime to kill something was just what Isi needed. Though she would have preferred to take dome some vampires. Zombies were an alright substitute, though she’d really rather kill something that wasn’t already dead such as vampires.
The vampire executioner and now formally on zombie clean-up duty by her superiors was about to scream out, ‘Run stupid’ but saw a silver color dagger being thrust into the zombies neck by one of the girls. “Interesting,” Isi muttered as she slowly sauntered over hoping that she could have one less zombie to take care of personally but knew that she’d have to do finish it anyhow. People had such delicate sensibilities and weak stomachs. Then the girl tried to skin the zombie’s thigh. It was quite impressive. Isi hadn’t seen a human not throw up after this sort of violence in a long time. Had this happened in front of some high school or college mother’s everywhere would be demanding their child attend years of counseling even if they had only heard about the incident and not seen it. People were so sheltered; it was easy to see how supernaturals were taking over the world.
By now Isi was visible to both two women. She glanced briefly at the one trying to climb a tree. She coughed trying to change her almost snicker into another sound. “Looks like you’ve taken down zombies before,” Isi said as she watched the woman take off the zombies other leg bones. Isi almost wished she had the foresight to remove her Marshal’s badge from plain view because surely now these two women would yell at her and blame her for the zombies when it wasn’t her fault. Isi would let the woman take down the zombie before lighting it on fire. Because one thing you didn’t want was a zombie on fire chasing you with good legs!

Jamie turned her eyes to Isi for just a second, mostly to catch a glance of the vivid red hair and flamethrower attached to the woman's back, who had the gull to speak with her. Course Jamie also remembered that now was not a time to pointlessly kill over something like that, she was killer and this person could be a problem, but Eliza was her first concern. " A few." The words were short, not clipped or held on to simply spoken, with a monotone voice that most likely would cause shivers to go done the spine. Jamie didn't talk a lot often, not unless she was acting to get close to a hit and needed to, talking was just a waste for her. Most people could figure out just from looking at her she didn't want them around or be bothered by them. The of course there were her eyes as away of telling people to go fuck them selves, before speaking, and by then if you had her speaking with the go fuck yourself eyes, be glad your living.
Standing up, Jamie would take a few steps back from the Zombie. She wasn't rushed over it, however her eyes did filter back to their icy blue color now that the threat was eliminated from Eliza. So the focused on the vibrant red head who, with the badge right there was a threat. They were lycanthropes she could kill them on sight if she found out, however right now it was more about playing to the part they needed. Course it would Eliza who would speak up not Jamie, " What's going on with these Zombies? It was fine till a few moments ago. " Jamie glanced back at her, she was trying to figure that out as well, however it must of been something in their immediate environment that changed. As the corpse burned, Jamie relaxed a bit, the smell of burning flesh, and rotting corpse was kind of relax for her.
" Something made it change, much like if you drop something into calm water." Yes, Jamie gave an explanation for what she meant cause she wasn't even sure Eliza would understand what she meant. Focusing her eyes back to Isi, she could smell the death on her. And it wasn't the normal kind of death of you know a corpse or something. The smell was like that of fall almost, moist earth, leaves that had fallen and stale blood. It was possibly her, her powers that were setting them off so when she got in range the would start to hunt. Course with Jamie forcing Eliza to shield and her self full shield right now Isi couldn't get a reading off them. Yet that didn't mean Jamie's nose didn't work, one advantage.
Course Eliza had to go open her mouth again. " Jamie, you should help her." Jamie turned her head and glowered. Part of her want to say no fucking way, but it was Eliza so she gave up those words quickly and just simply asked , " Why?" It was a lot of words for her in a stupid conversation that she didn't want to have. " Because two are better then one? She also has flamethrower and can't move quickly? That and we still need to get out of here." Jamie knew this, but she also knew it wasn't their problem and doing good deeds wasn't in her mettle it was more Eliza. If it wasn't for the child she would feel more oblige to just out right kill the marshal now, make it look like the zombies did it and escape such things. " Okay, I will help, you stay here though, in the tree. "

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Isi looked at both of the girls not even thinking that they were anything but human. She did not spend any time around werewolves and only knew them for what they were if they took days off from work around the time of the moon or were passed out naked in the forest. It was sadistically evil but the later was how she preferred to kill her were's. When they were passed out it was so easy to chop off their heads and then load them into a truck for disposal and monetary collections.
"A few."
Isi nodded her head at the reply. She hadn't really expected a very long answer from someone who went after zombies by stabbing them in their necks and then skinning them by their legs. Her badge certainly didn't help. It made people who were wary of the law terrified of her. But humans had nothing to fear from her. She didn't care if they were selling sex or selling drugs. But if they messed with vampires then they were dead to her. It was possible that this girl was some type of special forces.
The zombie was still moving despite the fact that it had no leg bones. You could shotgun a zombie into a billion pieces and all of those pieces would come after you until the zombie got what it wanted if it wasn't under control of someone. Or if it was under control of someone. Isi moved forwards and turned the nozzle on for the flamethrower. She dashed the zombie with the scorching flame and stepped back as it crawled towards Isi, each second burning a little more until it was all on fire burning and burning. The shades of colors turning from orange to yellow to blue.
"What's going on with these Zombies? It was fine till a few moments ago. Something made it change, much like if you drop something into calm water."
Isi shrugged. "I don't know much. Just that zombies are sporadically being risen from their graves once per hour at random." It was police information and the news team would probably kill for this information. But Isi wanted to hire one of these ladies to help her with the zombies. The other lady could just stay up the tree or go home. It would probably be better for Eliza to go home instead of sitting in a tree. It would be worrisome, wondering if a zombie was nearby. The zombies so far were only constricted to the inside of the cemetery. As much as the police had gathered, they were still within the tall iron gates.
Before Isi could ask for Jamie's help, Eliza told Jamie to help her. "I'll pay you fifty dollars per zombie you help me kill. There's eight zombies left. Though there will be nine in an hour until I find where the animator's circle is and stop the process." Fifty dollars per zombie wasn't really a lot of money to Isi but it would be over four hundred dollars if it took them a bit to stop the zombies. She figured she could get away with fifty dollars since a 'government' employee wasn't supposed to make a lot of money. Little did Jamie or Eliza know Isi made most of her money by killing vampires and taking their fortunes.
"Unless you'd rather do it for free." She said as she looked at Jamie and then Eliza. "The zombies seem to be mostly in the cemetery. If you can climb the iron fence then you'll be home free and won't have to climb a tree." Isi was a little bit curious about Jamie. Was she some type of military? Isi knew that she handled a knife pretty well. If she was some sort of cop she would have either told Isi that when she first saw her or at least had a radio on her and calling for backup - plus cops would go at a zombie with a gun and not a knife. What was Jamie? - Special forces? Secret forces? Humans Against Vampires? Another hate group?
