red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Like clockwork the necromancer was back in the cemetery. If Isi didn't raise some damned bodies then her body would do it against her will. It was not fun to have dead people crawl and groan and moan in her house before coffee! It was the curse of being a person 'gifted' with the ability to raise the dead. You had to do it or else it did it on its own. Isi usually got her 'fix' from raising bodies that washed near her swamp but there had been less and less dead people.
Though it was late in the cemetery it was very much still alive. There were the Goth's who were reading poetry, the vampire/human couple that were making out (Isi had yelled out you best be 18 or else you'll get slain by your parents to the young human male) and the odd number of other people, excluding those with various tour groups. Isi had a black suitcase like bag in her hand. She stopped, she could feel another animator in the cemetery raising someone.
Isi knew that if she was far enough away the other animator would get the hint and not bother her. Isi had looked up all the animators in town, quite a few, and had gotten to know their pictures and addresses so she could stay away, far, far away. Isi had no intention of meeting others like her. The less who knew about Isi the better. And she could count on her hand the number of people who knew, two. Her father and grandfather.
Far away in the unholy area of the cemetery Isi got to work. She set her circle and chose a grave at random. Within a few moments an ugly zombie rose from the grave. Isi used a knife, gutted a hamster she had been carrying around in her bag and tossed it to the damned thing. "There. Enjoy." Isi muttered disgusted by the process. Some animators used chickens, but it was obvious to all that they were going to raise someone. So Isi used a hamster whenever she had to raise something. The zombie disgusted Isi as it made its slurping noises, drinking the blood of the dying hamster.
Isi frowned at the zombie. It had maggots crawling out of its eyes, along with worms and other such insects. Isi closed her eyes and concentrated. From once where there were bones Isi made the zombie look hole. As if it were a real person and not a disgusting zombie with red blood dripping from its mouth onto its chin. "Where am I?" the zombie girl asked. Isi sighed again and rubbed her temple. She hated this part. It was annoying going through the process of 'you're dead, you've been raised for my convenience. No I won't give your loved ones any messages, unless you have a secret fortune hidden away. No you can't see them. Okay you're going back to hell or wherever you've been before this. Good fucking day.' Isi should really record the speech she usually gave.
"I don't know, you tell me, and you might as tell me why you have a dead hamster in your hand." Isi was feeling cruel this evening. She knew why the hamster was there. She had put it there. She watched the zombie freak out, the zombie not realizing it was a zombie. Isi didn't even refer to her as a girl anymore. It was a zombie.

It seemed silly to sit near the entrance of it. With everyone coming to and fro through it during the night. Pencils scratching paper, were the only things close enough for the vampiress to listen to, while looking around to keep an eye on such things from attacking her. She hardly needed Alan to come around and scare the shit out of her.
Looking up from the sketchbook sitting on her lap, Rowan could hear something going on that seemed all too interesting to not find out what it was. She put down the sketchbook. The image wasn't finished, but from looking at it, people could have figured it was something from a cemetery if not the one they were currently residing in at the moment. The voices were intriguing her even more as she crept up to the noise.
A woman was in the distance talking to a grave from the looks of it. Was she some kind of crazy fool? Rowan shook the thought away as she tried to remember the word for bringing the dead back. Oh yes, Necromancer. That sounded correct. So this woman was talking to someone dead? Interesting or rather being the woman from the grave itself seemed to be eating something rather disgusting.
"Why do you cause the dead such pain? She hardly knows what's going for being dead for how many years? A couple maybe even a few decades from the look of the grave marker. Be respectful of the dead." Rowan spoke as she came out from her hiding position. Let herself be known than hidden and get caught some other way from someone she hardly knew.
Her blond hair rested upon her back as she stood there looking at the zombie girl trying to read her up. Of course, someone could have mistaken her for someone else. Though she wouldn't' know who would want to impersonate a vampire. Rowan was someone who posed as a shy loner type person. Instead of being curious enough to get into trouble to save her own life. This girl had ideas that some people would have thought were crazy, but she would the world decide on that besides people who were close to her.
"You really should watch what she's doing. You never know when they'll come out of the grave and attack you." 407 words. Isi Runasimi is starring. St. Louis Cemetery is the location. Here is the outfit. |

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall “Why don’t you mind your own business?” Isi replied without turning around to look at the stranger, the woman who was trespassing on something so private Isi had never told a soul. The only people who knew that Isi could raise the dead were her grandfather and father. And that was only because Isi had raised a dead body when she was a child by accident and the body had wandered into the house, near her wing of the estate.
“What do you know of death and pain?” Isi replied without taking her eyes off of the zombie. “You know nothing. And you have not seen real pain.” Isi knew that around the world there were vampires that had kidnapped animators and forced them into service. Those animators became twisted and were incredibly unkind and unpleasant. Their treatment of the dead was quite hideous. It was a thousand fold times worse then what Isi was doing.
Could Isi be blamed for wanting a little bit of entertainment? It was like she was watching the perfect movie on the big 3D screen. Actors could pretend to be zombies who could pretend to be risen to realize that they were dead, but their emotions were nothing compared to the real thing. Compared to the real thing, those actors were playing in some D themed movie with a budget of five thousand dollars.
Isi turned around and looked at the woman. She had sensed that she was a vampire without even turning around. It was a gift of being one who raised the dead. Isi could sense the dead, all the dead. It was one of the reasons for high profile murder cases instead of search parties police just hired an animator to scour the grounds and see if anyone had been buried down yonder.
The vampire was blond. Quite pretty. She was wearing a long striped white top and shorts so short that she probably had all the men who crossed her path drooling, and some of the women as well. The makeup wasn’t so easy to see in the dark, it was either black or purple. Isi wasn’t about to tell a vampire how to dress.
Isi stood up and dusted off her knees from kneeling on the ground to summon the zombie. The girl was panicking. She was screaming, ‘I’m dead. I’m dead.’ Over and over again. Isi paid her no heed. The hamster was decapitated as the zombies strength was starting to come back because of the blood Isi had given it. It rolled to the ground and stopped on a little hill of leaves.
“She would never attack me.” Isi smiled. It was an eerie sort of smile. Like when someone knew a secret, something that the other person would never guess, not in a billion years. The zombie girl was trapped in a circle of Isi’s making. The zombie was bound to the circle and Isi’s hold could not be broken. Only by perhaps a stronger necromancer, but those odds were quite slim. “I think you know what she is. And I think you know what I am.”

[atrb=border,0,true] | "I would, but the noise of the girl, is rather quite distracting," Rowan could have been a snot and said something else, but that wasn't the persona Rowan was playing tonight. She wasn't playing the Amethyst persona. She was playing the sweet, innocent loner Rowan who seemed to be curious about the things around her no matter how much she found things to be oddly annoying and disgusting. Amethyst would have been the one who was all over this kind of stuff trying to make it go away and leave her life alone.
"Death and Pain? I know every little bit of it, Animator. I've felt the pain of something terrible," Rowan was keen on not telling how she was forced to be a vampire, without proper paperwork that was supposedly required to become a vampire. Some could say she was an illegal vampire, but what about all the older vampires than her? What were they known as? Illegal as well? Rowan watched as the animator kept looking at the zombie girl. Rowan had never truly met an animator before or a zombie, but she didn't try to go out and meet them. She felt there was no need to go and find something that could easily find her later on.
Her attention went to the dead girl from the grave. Repeating the same thing over and over again. "Make her shut up. Or I will." Rowan's voice was stern and well collected even for someone who was known to be quiet and shy. Not tonight and this persona seemed to be slipping out of its prison after eight long years of imprisonment. It may not have bothered the human, but the sound of a record player seemed to sound better than a girl who just found out she had been killed by someone.
"She may not attack you, but I could. Make her knock it off. There are people trying to enjoy an evening out in the cemetery and by having that thing make noise and freaking out is a true eyesore. Animator. I suggest you make her stop." Rowan was getting rather annoyed with the constant repeat of 'I'm dead. I'm dead.' When could this girl shut up? Her head felt like exploding at the particular moment. Rowan grabbed her ears in annoyance and turned on her heel. This was getting nowhere. Amethyst would wasn't going to stand around and listen to this crap. Walking back to the bench, she quickly placed her things into the bag and grabbed it.
How many other people were in the cemetery? Rowan listened for heartbeats and voices. She drowned out the zombie girl as she searched to make sure, the animator was the only person left in the cemetery. Or at least someone who wasn't close by to the center of the cemetery. Rowan wanted to put things in perspective tonight about why the dead should remain if they were not made into vampires. Rowan may have been a fan of being a vampire, but not listening to the constant whine of a zombie moaning like a banshee.

Federal Marshall "Make her shut up. Or I will."
‘I can do one better’. Isi thought to herself as the vampire walked away. In a way being a vampire was a thousand times better than being a zombie. And the blonde knew nothing of pain. The zombie’s soul had been resting. What would it feel like to suddenly be ripped from that eternal peace and brought back to its rotting, disgusting, earthly confines? Isi knew that some zombies were brought back as sex slaves. Others were doomed to work in factories.
Isi could scream. The vampire creature knew that Isi was an animator. This was not good at all! The vampire could tell other vampires, she could probably even sell the information to the animating company. The last thing Isi needed was someone sneaking around and trying to get her to join some damned animating company. Animators were a small enough bunch that everyone knew everyone, and when an animator died all animators went to that funeral even if they didn’t know them personally.
“Stop screaming.” Isi ordered the zombie. Immediately the zombie stopped screaming. Isi really, really didn’t want the vampire to know that she was an animator. There was only one thing to do. But was Isi willing to risk it? To set a zombie loose on someone was murder. It was illegal to order a zombie to kill. Yet…. Isi rubbed her foot on the circle, breaking it. “Kill the vampire.”
When an order was given most zombies forgot and lost their humanity. Whatever little was left. The zombie would complete its order until it was dead. The best part of sending a zombie to attack someone was that they would continue to attack, even if you ripped their limbs off. If you ripped a zombies limbs off the arms and legs, and all the pieces would make their way to you even if they weren’t attached to the body. The zombie would slow down the vampire who was packing her things up. Isi cursed that bench, it was new. The vampire was picking up her things, turned around. Isi stayed near a tree, watching.

[atrb=border,0,true] | The silence of the cemetery, seemed to calm down after Rowan had spoken to the animator about the moaning zombie. Things seemed a bit more quieter than usual. Wouldn't zombies just go back to their graves and rest in peace? Turning around, she could see why it was unusually quiet. The zombie was moaning its ass towards her. How lovely. This was going to be a fun night for Rowan. Scream and run or kill the zombie? Or give this animator a run for her money?
Rowan could just this give this woman a scare and give her Amethyst. That would be a nice little change of things. Amethyst was always one to get into trouble. After all, she did drop out of high school to get away from people. Rowan would have been the one who would have finished high school and gone to art school. Dropping the bag onto the bench, she watched as the zombie made its way over. "Tsk tsk. Didn't the one who raised you know better to harm such a delicate creature like you? I mean after all, you are dead, child." Amethyst was quite enjoying this little monster.
She may never had seen a zombie before now, but she didn't think it would be hard to destroy it. What was the possible way to destroy such a thing? Fire seemed to take everything out, but she didn't think she had any matches. Maybe she did, considering she did carry a few extra in case the Master of the City didn't have any or his lighter with him. She scrambled over to her bag, throwing things onto the bench in search of the pack of matches. This would be interesting enough as it was if she could find what she was looking for.
"AH! Found them." she said this to herself in a hushed voice. Human ears wouldn't pick them up, but what was to stop her from saying it to the animator? Pulling out a match, she showed it to the zombie and then to the animator. "Maybe you should call the zombie off if you don't want it harmed. Otherwise I may just take you somewhere. I'm sure I know a few people who would love to have animator in their service." Rowan was quite the bitch when she wanted to be.
Striking the match, she held it out and threw it at the zombie, missing. She did that on purpose to scare the animator into calling the zombie back. She wasn't scared of what would happen to the zombie, she would probably be thrilled to watch it burn. Though she was curious as to what the woman do, if the zombie did catch on fire.

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Isi was watching from the tree. Her body was slanted against it. One arm was on the tree, the other was hanging by her side. The gun in its holster was by Isi’s right arm but she didn’t reach for it yet. She wanted to see what the zombie would do to the vampire. She wanted to see what the zombie could do the vampire. Isi had a smirk on her face as the vampire turned around and saw the zombie shuffling its zombie way near her.
Was the vampire going to run or was she going to fight, to chop it to pieces? Isi watched as the vampire turned around and began to rummage through her bag. What was she hoping to find? For a second Isi thought that the Thing might have a gun. But as a general rule vampires never carried guns because they did not need them, nor did they like to do their own dirty work. Isi’s fears were subsided when the vampire brought out a matchbook.
The zombie had thankfully taken the opportunity to move closer to the vampire when the stupid creature had her back turned. Who would turn their back on a zombie that had been ordered to kill you? Zombies obeyed their master when given an order. All traces of personality were gone. It would kill then remain a blank slate, ready for another of Isi’s orders.
Isi couldn’t see in the dark what the tiny thing the vampire was holding up. Not until the vampire lite it up, at least. “Zombies are a dime a dozen.” Isi said as she watched the zombie rear for the attack. Isi shivered as the vampire said that there were many who would love to have an animator in their service. ‘That’s why I have to kill you, creature.’ Isi thought to herself. The vampire threw the match at the zombie. The match missed. Did the vampire honestly expect to hit the zombie with it? But even if it hadn’t missed it wouldn’t have done any good. The creature needed some gasoline. A zombie wasn’t a piece of dried leaf. A zombie wouldn’t burn because of a little fire. It definitely needed some starter fluid.
By now the zombie was moaning and groaning. The zombie reached both its hands out to try and grab onto the vampire. It also tried to clomp down its mouth on the vampires flesh. Though zombies did eat flesh (you didn’t learn this in college) it probably wouldn’t eat a vampires flesh, it just wanted to rip the creature apart. ‘Go zombie, go,’ Isi was chanting in her head. Though maybe the zombie needed the help of another zombie…

[atrb=border,0,true] | So the zombie wasn’t going to go away easily then. Rowan would have to figure out how she’ll get rid of the zombie before it came at her. Maybe just go to the source and threaten the poor animator’s life. Bring her to the Master of the City to deal with for sending zombies after his vampires. Of course that wouldn’t really do much for her considering she would have to get rid of the zombie first before things got out of hand. This would turn out to be an interesting night indeed.
Watching as the zombie creep closer to her, she stared at the animator for a few minutes before deciding what she would do. Clouding the woman’s mind and scare the shit out of her or just bolt for it toward her? She was trying to find the best way to avoid getting shot at. How it was annoying that she had to play the innocent person every freaking time when she was in presence of someone who knew that she was not a very outgoing person. Taking a few seconds to cloud the woman’s mind, Rowan crept up behind the animator, taking the gun out of the holster.
Holding it in her hand, she weighed it up a bit, before unclouding the woman’s mind, while holding the gun to the woman’s back. “Now. I suggest you put the zombie back into its grave and leave me alone. Or face the consequences of your gun. Your choice, dearie.” Rowan held the gun up to the woman’s back with it lightly pressing on the fabric of her clothing. Rowan wasn’t up for a mess tonight, but this woman seemed to be holding such a small simple task to be such a hard and troublesome one for herself.
Looking back to see where the zombie was at, Rowan noticed that it had turned around to come back to the person who had ordered it around. Interesting. This would surely be interesting when the zombie came over to eat the animator instead of herself. Amethyst would surely enjoy this night. Watching a zombie eat the person who brought it out of the ground, now that was pure entertainment. “What’s your choice, Animator?”

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Isi felt the weapon being taken out of her holster. She was quite angry that a vampire had clouded her mind. It was a power they did often enough but only someone who dealt daily with the dead could feel it and know what was happening. Most humans just thought that the vampires were quick, they were quicker than humans, but they just needed a little help controlling your mind. Isi now had her own weapon pressed on her back.
The zombie was turning around and coming back. “It’s a blessed gun, stupid.” The vampire should drop the gun. Isi moved the hair from her right to her left shoulder, exposing her neck. It was an innocent gesture and one shouldn’t get an itchy trigger finger from that. Isi was wearing a chocker necklace that had little crosses all around it. The crosses were warm now and glowed a mixture of light blue and white. All vampires could not stand the power of crosses, the power of a believer.
Isi took this moment to slide her body out from under her own gun; she landed a chop kick at the vampire’s hand, the one that was holding her own blessed weapon. The vampire had started this by not minding her own business. Now Isi needed to end this. Behind the tree were two graves. “Here lies John Aleuts White, Gone but Not Forgotten.” And another grave, “Alexia White” it read simply. That usually meant someone killed themselves or had no family except for their deceased spouse. They died within one day of each other, John first.
Isi picked unsheathed a knife and cut her leg. Blood dripped down it, not because she wanted to entice the vampire but for another reason entirely. But what would the vampire think? It would probably think Isi was crazy for injuring herself, for drawing blood. Vampires didn’t waste blood, not really. The only times a human was slaughtered with blood everywhere was because a vampire had gone insane. Totally psychopathic that they had their fill and now wanted to just destroy every living thing with a pulse in sight.
“John Aleuts White. Alexia White. Hear me. I call to you.” Isi kept an eye on the vampire. “I order you to come. I command you to obey me. Rise. Rise!” If the vampire knew what was good for her she would run. Three zombies were always better than one if you wanted someone dead. Isi had to kill this vampire. It was illegal of her under any circumstance to use a zombie to attack someone, even someone literally undead as they had ‘rights’. Isi knew that when she had ordered the first zombie to attack, but she couldn’t be exposed as an animator. She just couldn’t.
John White and his lover, girlfriend, stalker, whichever were dead less than five years. It was always easier to raise someone who had just recently been deceased. Two sets of hands shot out into the earth, digging and clawing their way out. It only took moments. Isi had always been fondly curious how the dead broke out of their coffins but she wasn’t that curious. The zombies waddled like babies towards Isi, towards the scent of fresh blood. Isi held out her leg and the two zombies sunk down and sapped up the blood. They were sucking at the long wound like a newborn baby. The scene was odd enough to give even a vampire pause. Especially one who had never seen before such sights. And would probably never see again. Those who raised zombies weren’t fond of letting them drink from their open wounds. Isi left her gun on the ground because the vampire couldn’t touch it. If it tried to pick it up with gloves they just might catch fire…
“Well,” Isi said, staring at the vampire. “Are you going to run?” It should have been obvious with a blessed weapon that Isi was no normal human. That and the fact that she had three zombies now above the ground.

[atrb=border,0,true] | Amethyst was quite amused by the girl. Had some guts to take on someone who appeared older than what she appeared. It was nice to be thought of as something much more than just dead. She dodged the woman when she came at her hand holding the animator's weapon. "Tsk tsk. It's not nice to kick." Amethyst teased as she moved back a few feet from the tree, holding the gun pointed at the animator. This was definitely going to be a fun night.
Watching as the woman cut her leg, she could only wonder why an idiot would do such a thing to raise two more zombies. "You do realize, they can't kill me right? But then again its your blood you're wasting, not mine," though she was quite intrigued that an animator would waste her own body on such a power that brought the dead back to zombies. Watching as the zombies climbed out of their graves they marched over to the expose wound. Oh how interesting it was to sit there and watch such a musical act like place.
"Well. Are you going to run?" Amethyst smirked, "No. I'm not. Because you see the zombies can't kill something that's already dead. You would be by far better going after a werewolf. They are actually alive. Yet, suit yourself dear. I can always find you again, if you decide to bolt on me. I know a few people who would enjoy having you in their company. Its alright been exposed that you are a necormancer. So quit trying to hide such a beautiful power. "
Amethyst wasn't about to leave. If she planned on doing anything, it seemed reasonable to take the animator somewhere, just to give her the spooks. Or at least make her think that she was going to other vampires. Maybe the Master of the City would like an animator on his team, to take care of the pest population in New Orleans. With the gun still pointing at the animator, Rowan shot at the woman's foot, hoping to knock the animator off balance. If she didn't, Amethyst would just shoot for the other foot or perhaps aim for the leg. Make her feel the pain, she herself did seven years before in New York City for walking down the wrong neighborhood.

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall The little bitch shot at her. Isi jumped backwards and fell on her ass. The shot hit near her foot, but not on it. “Hey, don’t waste the ammo. It’s expensive.” The Marshal couldn’t believe that a god damned vampire had stolen her gun, and then shot it at her! The ammo honestly wasn’t cheap. Silver was more expensive then gold and her silver weapons were of high quality silver content! It wouldn’t pay to be cheap when her life counted.
“Keep deluding yourself, hun. You may be dead but you can still die. Your kind does it all the time. It’s a well-known fact that 90% of vampires die before they turn 100.” Isi may have just been throwing numbers out there but the percentage was just about right. Stupid and low vampires were made every day, and they died just as easily, never turning that pristine age that they might have lived if they were still human.
“Kill the vampire. Take her underground. And get me my god damned gun back.” What a little naïve vampire to think that three zombies couldn’t kill her. They could destroy her! The two zombies sauntered towards the vampire from in front. The one zombie came near Amethyst from behind. The pair of zombies grabbed on to each leg and began to sink into the ground as if they had stepped into an active pile of quicksand or a bog. Isi pulled out her backup gun, a small thing on her ankle holster and aimed right for the vampire’s chest. She certainly didn’t want to kill the vampire herself. Let the zombies do all the work.
“You really should know more about zombies, vampire. Too bad, so so sad. By the way, do you know who the Master of the City is? Vampires usually like to tell me shit before they die, as a sort of, if I like their information I will let them live.” Of course what Isi did not say was that she never made any such arrangements though the doomed vampires thought they could weasel on out of their death like they had weaseled themselves out of their soul.

Maybe you shouldn't have been so careless with where you put your weapon," Amethyst seemed to be quite enjoying herself, watching as the woman dodged the bullet, she had shot toward her. She had been hoping to have the bullet hit the woman to call of the damn zombies. Guess she would change plans about how to get the woman to call the terrible disgusting smells off.
"Keep deluding yourself, hun. You may be dead, but you can still die. Your kind does it all the time. It's a well-known fact that 90% of vampires die before they turn 100." Amethyst shrugged at this. Of course she doubt herself would die before that. Considering nothing was going to kill her with a sire who had kept her at his side for most of the seven years she had been a vampire. "I'm terribly afraid," there was sarcasm in her voice as she spoke, her eyes on the woman, but the gun still pointing at the woman's feet.
"Oh, such language. I'm surprise someone of your nature can actually force a vampire to go back underground with zombies pulling them down. My, how exciting." Rowan fought the zombies off trying to get them even as they were pulling her into the ground. Oh how this was going to be a challenge to get free. She knew the gun with silver bullets wouldn't do a damn thing to the creatures. This was something was she definitely not expecting to happen.
"You really should know more about zombies, vampire. Too bad, so so sad. By the way, do you know who the Master of the City is? Vampires usually like to tell me shit before they die, as a sort of, if I like their information I will let them live." Amethyst's ears perked up when she heard the woman talking about Xavier. How did she know about him? And who would have told her anything about the Master of the City?
"Yes I know who the Master is. I was there when they took down the last Master of the City. Ate him for dinner. Quite interesting to watch, but then again what is a fledgling suppose to do when their sire takes down a blood relative from when they were human?" Rowan was perfectly clear about not telling the woman the gender of the Master. It would only be certain that Xavier would be found out and probably killed. Leaving her with no guide on how to go about and do things. She may have been his favorite fledgling, it still didn't mean she was ready to go out on her own without someone there to guide her along.
"You won't find them though. There are many places for them to reside of course. I know them, but you won't get it out of me though. I wouldn't give my sire away as it is. Though if you do kill me. I'm sure you can expect them to come find you, for killing their favorite fledgling. That will go well." Rowan sneered at the woman as she fought the zombies off. She had managed to rip the hands off of one, before going for the two holding her down. How they managed to get her into the ground seemed impossible to her, but she kicked her way out of the ground, using them as footstools until she could get herself out of the mess. This would certainly be interesting if the animator didn't kill her before she climbed out.

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall "I'm terribly afraid,"
“You will be.” Isi muttered as she watched the scene play out before her eyes. The vampire wasn’t afraid, but she should be. Isi had read in an animators magazine how a whole cemetery had been raised and some vampires had been killed. The police were looking for the suspected animator but no one would admit to it. Certainly not with vampire casualties missing. The gun was still pointed at Isi’s feet. Isi wasn’t worried.
The zombies had by now latched on to the woman and were trying to pull her into the ground while all the while trying to pull her apart. ‘I hope you rotting Things enjoy dead flesh.’ She thought to herself. Then the vampire did something that surprised Isi. She admitted to knowing the Master of the City, personally. Isi’s eyes went wide. If there was one thing that she had been surprised about, it was the fact that the new Master of the City ATE the old one. Vampires were dirty cannibals! – Well they weren’t usually, but that wouldn’t stop Isi from calling them all cannibals in the rare case of one vampire.
"Yes I know who the Master is. I was there when they took down the last Master of the City. Ate him for dinner. Quite interesting to watch, but then again what is a fledgling suppose to do when their sire takes down a blood relative from when they were human?"
"You won't find them though. There are many places for them to reside of course. I know them, but you won't get it out of me though. I wouldn't give my sire away as it is. Though if you do kill me. I'm sure you can expect them to come find you, for killing their favorite fledgling. That will go well."
“Tell me where the Master sleeps! Tell me where Xavier’s lair is!” Isi demanded as she pulled out her gun from the small of her back. “Tell me!” She only knew the name Xavier because a vampire had told her. She had arrested said vampire and had gone to execute another, fully intending to execute him as well. But things had gone unplanned when the vampire was crafty enough to make it look like Isi had seriously abused and tortured him. So she had to let him go before the other Marshal’s saw. But Isi had asked him one question: Who is the Master of the City? Instead of: Does the Master of the City exist? And in return, Isi had gotten a name. Xavier.
Isi would not let this vampire get away without giving Isi the information on his lair. She wanted to, no, needed to take out the Master of the City. It would prove that she was a bad-ass vampire killing bitch. And it would also cause a bit of strife and turmoil. If she killed this Xavier, then of course all his underlings would kill each other to try and get the Crown, if you will. Isi could not blow this opportunity. Perhaps, yes, this vampire was lying. They all lied. But Isi needed information. She still had the contact card of the vampire that had first given her Xavier’s information, burned and set in her memory, but she didn’t want to use him – he would be a last resort.
The earth beneath the four un-humans began to crumble and open up as if a dog had been digging. The zombies feet and the vampire Thing’s feet also began to sink into the earth. “Don’t ask me how I do it. I really don’t know. Amazing how you bury someone in a coffin yet an animator can call to them. Don’t ask me how they break out of their coffin, or how they get in it again. But I suspect you’ll find out the answer for me soon enough. It’s just a shame that you wouldn’t be able to share it. Now, the location of your Master of the City’s hiding place, please and thank you?” Isi shot off just above the woman’s left shoulder. Isi was fucking serious. She wanted this information now. There were others she would need to … contact. And of course, supplies to purchase.

[atrb=border,0,true] | "Tell me where the Master sleeps! Tell me where Xavier's lair is!" Rowan looked taken back. How had this woman known his name? Who told her? She had stopped struggling against the zombies as they tried to tear her apart. "How do you know his name? Which unlucky vampire told you? Or was it a demon? Nasty fiends." Rowan wouldn't go into detail of the demons, but she was interested in how this woman knew her sire's name.
Rowan didn't struggle even as she fell into the dirt her feet sinking as the zombies dragged her down. She knew she would survive this mess, it was just a matter of time before the zombies stopped acting on orders though. "I won't give you his location. It would also ruin my daytime resting grounds. " she yelped in surprise with the bullet barely missing her. If this was suppose to scare her it, somewhat did, but she wouldn't give in to the woman's wants of sharing the locations.
"Just go around Bourbon Street or something. He's usually around there. Maybe you should go look for some demons. He has reason to go destroy them before they destroy New Orleans and take things that are their's." Rowan was speaking of herself being taken by the demon Luke. She wasn't a demon's play thing. She was the Master of the City's fledgling and slave. Though she acted more his pet than anything else. It surprised her how much he really did use her as a pet than anything else. She was unsure of what changed in him. Was it because he ate his brother and absorbed some of his brother's feelings?
"Make them stop. Please. Make them stop..." she was sitting there begging for the zombies to stop pushing her into the ground with them. She was already up to her knees in the ground. The zombies kept pulling her down and it felt like they were going to pull her arms out of their sockets before she was even in the ground. She wanted to get out of this before the sun came up and she was safely back in her coffin to rest for the day until the next night.
What was so important for this woman to find the location of Xavier? Why kill him? What would that do for her? There would just be another vampire taking his place as Master of the city. So why go and try killing the current one? She tried to fight her away through the zombies, but their fingers kept getting wrapped around her arms pulling her toward them. Her tank top was already dirty and parts of it was getting ripped with the zombies pulling on her. If this woman wanted any information, telling the zombies to stop was her best effort.

Federal Marshall "How do you know his name? Which unlucky vampire told you? Or was it a demon? Nasty fiends."
Isi almost turned pale at the mention of the word ‘demon’. Thankfully, it was quite dark out. And the heat rising to her face could very well be attributed to the weather. The hunter was after all, human. But Isi could swear that she could feel the small of her back on fire. The mark, where It had put it, burning into her flesh. Isi had tried to carve away the mark with a knife. Yes, she did try to peel off her own flesh. But the mark did not move. She even tried to get it removed with a laser several states over. Much to her regret and surprise of the doctor the ‘mark’ was stuck. And yes, Isi did try to remove it with a knife before the laser option.
“It’s none of your concern who told me what.” What Isi wanted to say was, ‘As a licensed vampire executioner you should hear the things I get to hear right before I plunge some silver nitrate into the vein of a vampire. They will tell you almost anything. Though most of it being a pack of lies and grade D shit.’ Of course Isi remained silent on that part. There were not a lot of Federal Marshal’s out there. Being one of the only red haired ones would be easy as pie to find out. It was too easy for the ‘bad guys’ to find out where the good and the decent lived!
Isi was secretly pleased at this. She knew her source had not been lying about the name. But it was nice to have the Vampire confirm it for Isi. The vampire hunter couldn’t even nod sympathetically about the daytime resting place. Isi really didn’t have any empathy for vampires like other Marshal’s who were able to hide their disgust. So she wouldn’t even try to be ‘good cop’ or ‘good citizen’ with the girl and fake concern about her very own daytime resting place, allegedly near the Master of the City. But oh God, this vampire was most likely lying, but God help her if she was! She would not die quick!
“Forget about your damned imaginary demons!” Isi yelled. If she ignored demons then they certainly wouldn’t exist. There had been no known demon attacks since the middle freaking ages! ‘It did not happen. It did not happen. Demons do not fucking exist. They do not exist.’ Isi repeated in her mind over and over again. She was in pure denial. “I’ve been on Bourbon Street a billion times. Help me out here, I want to help you. But I can’t unless you help me. Give me the information!”
Isi didn’t even need to shoot off another bullet of precious silver. She already had the vampire where she wanted it. Her knees were already underground and she was close to being pulled completely underground. And it looked like it didn’t have the strength to stop three zombies, even though one of the three was missing a hand. But that was a zombie for ya! “I want to help you. But you need to help me. Give me the information and I can make this stop. I can make them stop!” Now Isi was suddenly sounding sweet. It was as if she had just eaten candy.
