pray, ne'er come hither wane to dust the wight [atrb=border,0,true] It was an unusual case. But the woman on the other end of the phone had proved it to a demonologist. Though she had tried to stay anonymous little did the woman on the phone know that the demonologist had state of the art technology. Shit the CIA would kill for. The demonologist soon found out that the woman was named Isi Runasimi. She was a Federal Marshal. The demonologist was basically taking her word because of her occupation – not that the Marshal knew that she had been ousted, yet. But a Marshal was a Marshal. And a demon would probably be fascinated with one. And both Sienna and the demonologist had heard that she was attractive.
With the demonologist by her side Sienna rung the doorbell. She could feel past demon activity, the demonologist, Fred Baker felt it too. The house was grand, if not something a Marshal could afford. But Sienna had done some checking into Runasimi’s financing. She probably got the money from killing vampires. No shame in her game. The door opened to a woman that wasn’t just attractive. She could have had a career in modeling if she wanted it. The woman cautiously didn’t say “you can come in” as if they were vampires it would allow them in. But as humans they just trampled in onto the nice hard wood floor.
“I’m Fred Baker, demonologist. We spoke on the phone. And this is my friend, well, acquaintance, London Grey, Bounty Hunter.” Fred said.
“How do you do?” London, or Sienna spoke. Even though Fred was good, he didn’t know that London’s real name was Sienna St. Claire. He would have shit his pants. The St. Claire’s were like the black ops of vampire killers. “I realize this must be a troubling time for you. Why don’t we sit down and talk about it, the attack, so that we can help you. Fred is the best.”
The woman nodded and led them into the sun room which must have cost a fortune to decorate. Did Fred spy an original Van Goh? Demonogy didn’t pay the best, but Isi had sent him a small fortune for his time. What had happened? What had really happened? Because demons didn’t just leave you alive. Was it possible…? Sienna did her best for her face to remain neutral.

red headed vixen I swear I'd kill you if there wasn't so much paperwork I swear I'd [...] Fuck it. You're going to die now.
Federal Marshall Isi tried not to tremble as she heard the doorbell ring. She knew who it was. Though she was disappointed and surprised that the demonologist knew her name before she gave it. Of course he would have to know her name sometime if he were to visit her home, her real home, not the document on paper that said she lived in an apartment she visited only once a week. Isi opened the door after seeing two individuals on her home security system. She opened the door without saying anything. If they were vampires they couldn’t enter without an invite, but humans could.
“I thought you would come alone.” Isi spoke to Fred Baker. “I thought we agreed this would be confidential!” Isi was not happy to see a woman here, even if she was a bounty hunter. Isi was worried about making the news because the news would be made international. Possible news title headings would be ‘Marshal consorts with Demons’ or ‘Demon rapes Federal Marshal’ along with a color photo of Isi with her red hair and only one of those statements were true.
“Mrs. Grey isn’t just a bounty hunter. She also kills demons.” Fred Baker said. “She realizes that publicity isn’t good and is going to keep this confidential. She won’t tell a soul.”
“That’s right, Mrs. Runasimi. I also hunt down and kill demons. I’m ordained by the Pope. And I promise I won’t tell anyone about your attack. I mean those liberals would probably go ahead and make demons legal citizens, right after vampires.” London Grey / Sienna spoke.
Isi cracked a smile. “You’re right; those liberals would definitely do that. We can talk here, in this room.” Isi said as she bolted the front door and then led them to the sun room. Isi was strapped and she could tell that Sienna was as well. It crossed her mind to confiscate her weapons but then Isi stopped. It would actually be a relief if Sienna killed her had she a mind to.
“What do you want to know? I told Mr. Baker everything over the phone.” Isi hadn’t told him everything. He didn’t need to know everything. He knew about the mark on her back, and she assumed Sienna knew. Her mark felt warm and Isi was glad it was daytime. But Isi wasn’t about to go changing her story. That was the worst thing to do, even if your story made no sense you had to stick with it. Never. Never. Never. Change. It. Ever.

pray, ne'er come hither wane to dust the wight [atrb=border,0,true] Sienna found that the table had already been prepared for guests. There were crackers with cheese, little meat dishes with tiny sticks poking out, several desserts including chocolate cake and cookies. There was a bottle of wine and a pot of tea, as if the woman, Isi, couldn’t decide what to serve or what her guests liked. Fred Baker was helping himself to all of the above. Sienna’s own stomach grumbled slightly but she passed up the food. She was too interested. She had to know.
“I want to know why this demon, Luke, as he calls himself… I want to know why he let you live. Demons don’t typically let humans live.” Sienna spit it out. She watched Isi try to hide her trembling from the name Luke. If there hadn’t been makeup on Isi’s face, would her skin turn red? Sienna gave Isi a look that said, ‘I think I know why but I want to hear you say it.’
