It was late in the evening, the sun was going to set and that was obvious with the mutli-colored sky. Everything was still visible with the sun towards the west gleaming down and blinding when you were to look in that way. Duncan was not a morning person and usually slept in until midday around noon or one. One of the downsides to being a person of the night and not a vampire was the part of dealing with the vampires. At least Duncan didn't mind vampires as a whole. He tended to mind his own business to begin with which usually kept him out of the way of any ruthless vampires, not that all were ruthless.
Slowly the were-fox walked down the pathways that had been made for hiking in the Couturie Forest. Duncan did not hike, he simply walked. He enjoyed the sounds and he also enjoyed taking the chance to shift and run along the off beaten paths. The young Scottish male preferred being in his fox form over his human self any day at least than he did not have to talk to anyone or be forced into situations that he did not completely want to be in, well except those few occasions of being shot at by hunters and what not.
Duncan walked a ways more before the sun had finally set. He raised his hand up to his hair and brushed it further to the side before itching his beard slightly. The blue eyes watched carefully around the night sky. He was not going to be shifting tonight as he was trying to stay careful on when he sifted. He was told long ago, the same as human children, that if you continued to make that face it would stay that way. He had always assumed it could be the same for a shifter but never truly knew the truth to that. As he walked he just kept his eyes open and ears aware of the sounds around him. He knew that all Were's including himself could be taken alive or dead for money. 'Such a stupid law,' he thought as he watched his back, especially if he decided to shift later, that would be quite important.

Your the sound of redemption The faith that I've lost the answers I'm seeking no matter the cost You opened the window now I can see And you taught me forgiveness By giving your love back to me
all the things that you are
The trail seemed be to covered up with plants and other things since the last time she had traveled through the Couturie Forest. She had a ball of light leading the way for her when the sun started to set and the forest grew darker with every step she took to find her way out of it.
Having been there early enough in the day, she managed to find a few things she needed to test out with a few things that she figured would help her out in later experiments. Much of which could be easy packed away in a baggie in her bag with her spell book. She wasn't about to carry a big ole tree branch down to town with her. She would look like a fool.
Emilia could see that she was doing quite fine trying to find the trail head by herself, despite having the ball of light be a few feet ahead of her and continuous moving on without waiting for her. The thing had a mind of its own, she just knew it when she created it to help guide her along. She wasn't one to carry a flashlight. If it didn't fit in her bag, than it didn't come along and she was too cheap to buy a flashlight, when she could just conjure something up.
She could hear noises up ahead, and she swished the ball of light away as she got closer to the noise. She could see someone coming toward her as if they were taking an evening hike. Maybe they liked being the dark where there was no one around and vampires wouldn't be roaming around in a forest. They would be somewhere in the city. Probably trying to find the Master of the City to have him or her grant them something or another. She was never quite sure who the Master of the City was, but she knew there was one. The vampires she knew, weren't exactly ones to keep their mouth shut about when a new master vampire came into town.
"Hello. I didn't know there was someone else on this trail. Seems awfully late to be going on a hike, don't you think?" Emilia asked as she got closer to the male who in turned seemed to be a bit concerned about something. She had noticed he kept looking behind him like something was going to jump out at him and attack him. She had been there alright, but maybe not the attack part. She was pretty good about defending herself, if possible, but never really managed to injure someone in her spells. No matter how hard she had tried to do it, but she didn't want to experiment on that on this man either. So she hoped he wasn't dangerous.
