A series of bad luck had coated her day and had her running all around the city, either on Pard emergencies, which were quite a rarity in the last few years, fetching things for Mallory, whom was sick and bedridden, or dealing with minor problems that popped up at the ballet studio. By the time 7pm had rolled around, Adrhina was collapsed on her bed and sound asleep, clad in what she considered nightwear: underpants and a baggy t-shirt. It was more pajamas than most werecreatures wore when in the safety of their own homes. Something to do with the baser animal instincts of the beast of all werecreatures encourages nudity as extreme comfort. It wasn’t that she was uncomfortable with her physical appearance, why she wore clothing to sleep, but rather to be considerate and aware of her own home. Though werecreatures were comfortable with nudity and treated it as nothing at all, vampires weren’t quite the same majority of the time. And because Rhi always left the back door of the studio, which led straight to the basement, open for vampires needing shelter from the sun’s rays as well as werecreatures in need of a safe place to shift, Rhi could never know when there was someone wandering around her home. Of course, she kept all the equipment which thieves would consider selling for money locked up tight and the door to her loft above the studio equally as locked, but Adrhina had never been one for taking chances. Extreme caution had yet to lead her astray. Adrhina wasn’t quite sure how long she had been sleeping when something roused her from her deep slumber. The pitter-patter of the light raindrops tapping against the glass in a soft and soothing rhythm didn’t seem like it could have roused the much drained wereleopard from her hibernation, though the heavy, thick black of the sky was enough to tell her it was late. Rubbing sleep from one eye, Adrhina sat up and yawned, stretching out her upper body to the ceiling while the long yawn paused her hand at her eye. Dropping the right hand to begin rubbing the left eye, Adrhina considered going back to sleep, her mind still mostly trapped within the realms of Morpheus. It had taken quite a while of just sitting there, staring off into space, but finally, Adrhina snapped back to reality, still barely conscious, and decided to check and make sure the front door was locked, and the windows were all shut, and… she couldn’t remember what else she should make sure to check, but Rhi had no doubt it would come to her when she stared at it. She stumbled, clearly half asleep both physically and mentally, asleep enough that her natural grace evaded her at the moment, out of her room, bumped into a couch or two on her way through her living room, then to the general direction of the door which led down stairs to the floors of dance studios. However, instead of simply walking over to the door, she happened to walk into a wall and then the door, only then managing to open the door and stumble her way down the steps to the third floor. She wandered her way around the third floor, missing several windows and checking others twice or more times. Still just barely awake, Rhi did notice a sound out of the ordinary. So very faint, thanks to the extreme sound-proofing of every room and every floor, but it was something. A little more awake than she had been a good few minutes ago when she had stumbled around her loft and just crawled out of bed, Adrhina managed to make it down to the second floor without walking into anything: quite an accomplishment in comparison to her earlier stumbling and walking into near everything she could walk into. She managed to check most of the windows this time and actually shut one or two of them, though she had still checked one or two more than once. The sound that must have been the cause of her current awakened state was a degree louder than it had been moments ago. Still not clear enough for Rhi to be able to tell what song it was specifically, even with her heightened lycanthropic hearing, but instead, just enough to tell it was music she heard. By default, it must then be coming from the first floor. Mind still relatively fogged with sleep, Adrhina again found her way to the stair well and made her way down one floor. First going directly to the front doors to find out they had been left unlocked… well that wasn’t good. Locking it, Adrhina tried to force herself awake, tried to force herself to focus her sleep-clouded mind enough to pick up a scent of some kind, if someone had come in through the doors. The lobby was a bit damp, but the opened windows could also be the cause of that. However, the rain and water had thoroughly washed away any strong or recent scent, preventing the wereleopard from being able to tell if someone had come in through the main doors or not. Mostly awake now as the slight tremor of fear shook through her spine, Adrhina’s quick and fluid grace returned to her in full force as she near glided about the lobby shutting the windows and investigating the monitors which picked up feed from the security cameras about her home and studio. Her worry quickly subsided to give way for the wave of relief to crash over Adrhina. There was someone dancing in one of the studios on the first floor, and that someone appeared to be a frequent night visitor to the studio to use its facilities. Adrhina smiled faintly before locking the monitors out of sight as they had been moments ago and headed for the only occupied studio. Well, this was quite the lucky break, Adrhina had been waiting to see the youthful-appearing vampire again, to talk and see if she could offer any help or advice to a certain vampire problem Adrhina, as well as the other felines in town, were struggling with. She knocked on the door three times, a sharp rapping, before opening the door and setting foot into her own studio. “Nick, hate to interrupt, but I have something I need to talk to you about, it’s somewhat important, if you don’t mind.” |
NOTE: Sorry I assumed just about everything instead of texting you, but I was on a role for Rhi posts and didn't wanna break my streak! I would have texted you asking about stuff for this post, but my cell's still dead. LVOE YOUUU![/style]
