For five years, she had led the Dark Sun Pard, and ten years before then, she had been a member of the Pard. However, in all her life, she had never seen nor heard of someone managing to move into a territory and take over a large were-creature group in less than a year’s time. She had thought it impossible until she witnessed it herself. It had truly frightened her, to say the least. Since the day she was named Nimir-Ra of the Dark Sun Pard, Adrhina had only ever recruited those who would be of use to her Pard, or on the rare occasion, children rejected from their families for surviving an attack but no longer being human. She had made sure her people were as secure as possible, recruiting ex soldiers and others dismissed from duty for becoming one of the infected. However, try as she might, there was always the fear of someone else moving in and trying to take over, and worse yet, somehow managing to do so. The new wolf king had managed it somehow, who was to say it couldn’t happen to her?
She was being paranoid; her people had told her time and time again. They were all loyal to her, they would follow no one else, and she shouldn’t worry. It had been a constant worry in her heart since the day the old Léoparde Lionné had given the Pard over to her.
Adrhina shooed the thought from her mind before glancing over her shoulder, her sky blue eyes quickly resting on her two guards. Both recent additions to her Pard, both armed and deadly in all forms of the words. It was true that this was supposed to be a meeting between herself and the new Ulfric of the werewolves, “Alan Blythe…” she reminded herself mentally. However, all leaders were permitted two guards at the very least for almost any occasion. Adrhina didn’t know Alan personally, and as such, knew better than to assume anything.
This was also why Adrhina had arrived to the Lunatic Café so early. She was a patient woman, she didn’t mind the wait. But time was growing short, only fifteen minutes left on the clock. She wondered if he would be on time, was he the type? Or would he be late? And if so, how late? She had given the students of her studio a break for the whole day, and had the studio closed to all but her own people so she wouldn’t have to worry about the possibility of not making it back to the studio on time for one reason or another.
Being the nerd she was, she had researched what she could on Mr. Blythe. His long series of dead wives and children lost to accidents or murders, or unsolved mysteries had not been a very comforting reflection on his personality. She was not scared, she was rarely scared. She was simply worried for the sake of her leopards. The leopards never caused any trouble for anyone and Adrhina kept it that way. She had figured, to assure the wolves would cause no trouble for her cats, a treaty between their people would be best. And this was why she was here.
It took a moment for the two guards to realize what the Nimir-Ra’s stare meant, but soon enough they managed to put two and two together, then after a glance at a cellphone screen, the current time was stated for the leopard queen. A steady exhale to calm her nerves, and her game face was on. Indifferent for the most part, with a faint smirk of superiority. She was secure, her people were secure, this was a meeting between two equals to discuss business. She didn’t truly need anything from anyone, but she had much to offer. This was her mantra as the seconds turned to minutes, and soon enough, along with the scent of a new wolf in the Café, from the back room which she sat, she also felt the crawl of power along her skin.
The faint smirk that graced Adrhina’s glossy pink lips twisted more into a pleased, superior smirk before vanishing off her face completely. She could only assume that was him now. Crossing her bare arms over the frilly front of her white blouse, she tapped a single platform heel along to the sound of approaching footfalls. Her guards drew closer to her back and Adrhina could feel them both tense as they fell into “guard-mode” as Adrhina enjoyed referring to it as. Leaning back into her seat, Adrhina tossed a wavy lock of her golden blonde hair over her shoulder to turn her head to the door to watch the Ulfric enter. On instinct, her arms fell uncrossed and to her sides, back straightened up, foot-tapping stopped, chin tilted upwards and eyes narrowed as she stared down the opening door. The body language nothing to take as an insult, but the up-tilted chin a posh statement of superiority and narrowed eyes to show distrust. Again, both statements made nothing more than the usual between the different species of lycanthropes. Everyone thought their own kind superior, to not state that within body language was to say one thought their people as lesser to another. A sign of weakness.
The Dark Sun Pard was not weak. The Dark Sun Pard was chew-toy to no one. Adrhina would do much to make certain of it.[/style]

Who's coming with me, to kick a hole in the sky? We ain't gonna stop until the clock runs out. [/style][style=background-color: #262626; width: 390px; height: 275px; padding: 5px;] The night had been a busy one. He had taken an extra shift at work to cover a buddy who couldn't make it due to his wife going into labor and couldn't get the time off for the shift. It wasn't a problem for him, he didn't have anything planned during the afternoon. His daughter could wait to see him. He did see her in the morning before he left for work to see how she was doing and if her mother came in to see her. Rowan was hard to please, but then again she was the one at fault for this bizarre accident. Letting the child get in the way of a vampire and a hunter. What did Rowan do to piss the idiot off anyways?
"Rowan, I don't have time for this. You really need to leave. And don't you dare see her. She doesn't want to see you." Alan was lying to Amethyst, but it was to keep his daughter safe from the woman as he pushed her away from the meeting room that was located at behind the Lunatic Cafe. She had come barging in wondering why she couldn't visit the hospital and why she was being blocked out of the room of their daughter. Alan had his reasons, he also have werewolves planted at the door to make sure no one got in, especially Amethyst. It was all he needed was to have the vampire get in and take the girl. No. She wouldn't. If he had his way nearly ten years before, there wouldn't have been a child from the marriage at all. They would have both been dead.
Alan was pushing Rowan out through the tables of the cafe, rather guiding her along. Of course it wasn't known to those not close to her that she was blind, but he still pushed her to the door. She had turned around and slapped him across the face. "Don't you dare harm her, Alan. I know what happened with your other wives and I'll make sure you're taken care of by The Master of the City. He'll put you in your rightful place. Don't cross this path, Alan." Her words were harsh, but Alan simply pushed her out and closed the door to keep her from coming in.
If his guest heard all of what happened, he was sorry that they had to see it. Heading into the meeting room, he saw the Nimir-ra near the table, her two guards standing somewhere behind her. They didn't look too please, but who would in the company of Alan? The man was a brute and didn't give a rat's ass about you if you got on his bad side. And Amethyst, well she was one of them, but she was a different story than the rest. Should have been dead from the start, but she wasn't truly dead now was she?
"If you heard anything that had happened with the vampire bitch from hell, I'm sorry. She's been nagging about seeing a child in the hospital, but can't get past the werewolves I've placed to protect the child from her." Alan made the truth come out, but he didn't say anything about the child being his or the vampire being his ex-wife. The second wife of his, before she escaped and got killed by a vampire. "Now, what was it that you wanted to talk about tonight?"

A single shapely eyebrow raised an inch or two above the line the other neutrally sat at was the only indication of Adrhina’s faint curiosity toward the former conversation. However, Rhi held her tongue and made no comment at all about it, pleased that her guards held their tongues just as well.
Upon his entrance, Adrhina also noticed the wolf king had come unaccompanied, without his Hati and Skoll. Adrhina wasn’t quite sure how to take this small fact, would it be an insult? A way to say the wolf king thought so little of the pard he did not see two professional and well-trained killers and the leopard queen as a possible threat? Or was it instead to be viewed as a compliment, a way of saying he trusted the leopards to never even consider taking advantage of the situation to attack? That was the current 24 thousand dollar question at the moment. Though he had mentioned leaving guards at the hospital to keep watch over a child. Was that where the Skoll and Hati were? But if that was so, didn’t the Pack have more dominants strong enough that could have watched the child instead so the guards could do their jobs? So many questions, but only one way to get any answers.
“Greetings, Ulfric of the Lune de Sang wolf pack. I hope you don’t plan on standing there for our discussions.” Adrhina said with a small, lightly teasing smile to match the pleasant tone of her voice before continuing in a more serious tone. “The leopards and the wolves are not enemies, nor are our allies enemies. I see no reason not to have an alliance between our people. Though, if the wolves are at the possibility of going to war against the vampires, an alliance may not be as wise as I originally thought it would be…” Adrhina trailed off, her unasked question hanging in the air. She had worked hard to form the Dark Sun pard into safe, secure, and independent home for all her leopards, recruiting elites from the many branches of law enforcement and national security within the US government whom were dismissed from duty for contracting leopard lycanthropy. But not only that, through her father’s connections within the government, Adrhina Lynn had the possibility of getting a warrant of execution on anyone who posed too big a threat. And if the threat were human, getting them branded as a terrorist or extremist was actually easier to accomplish. Not that she had ever actually abused her father’s position in the government before, but the possibility was always there in the back of her mind, temptation in the form of neutralizing threats before the threat ever gets too large.
5 years was how long it had taken Adrhina to move the leopards from a minor group of no importance at all; to a powerful ally to have, and a major part of how she had accomplished such a task was extreme caution. The leopards had no enemies; Adrhina didn’t want to start gaining them now.
Of course, she was still curious about the location of the Ulfric’s guards, but that wasn’t nearly as concerning as the knowledge that the vampires and wolves possibly being at odds. She would bring it up later, she supposed. At the moment, it was the possible war Adrhina was most concerned about.NOTE: Urrrgh, the short size of this post angers me! Oh, and is the name of the Pack Lune de Sang or Lung de Sang? In your post as Alan for Szadist, it said Lung, but in Szadist's post for my Bella, it said Lune. I assumed it was Lune because Lune is french, but if not let me know and I'll fix the typo! [/style]
